The arrest of a Korean-American doctor may lead to a crack down on Medicare fraud, rampant in immigrant communities, reports the Korea Daily. According to the newspaper, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office this week announced the arrest of John S. Han, 61, and his wife Sonya Han, 55. Han, a pain medicine specialist who operates Pain Medical Center in Norwalk, allegedly billed Medicare for more than $10 million in services between 2001 and 2005, but failed to report millions in income, reports the Korea Daily.
How the heck does one get away with this for charging over $10 million dollars on this?!?! I hope they get the justice they deserve. No one is excluded in manipulating the system. The health care system in the U.S. is ALREADY messed up and greedy folks like these only make the system even more broken. Epic fail.
